MANAMA: British Parliamentarians on Saturday called for the need to consolidate cultural relations with the United Kingdom in order to enhance the friendly bilateral relations.
The Shaikh Isa Cultural Centre has received a delegation of the British Houses of Commons and Lords, currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The CEO of the Shaikh Isa Cultural Centre Dr. Khaldoun Aba Hussain briefed the delegation on the pioneering role played by the centre, along with the relevant institutions, to preserve and promote Bahrain’s rich cultural heritage.
He highlighted the Shaikh Isa Cultural Centre’s hosting of key political, educational, social and economic events, as well as initiatives aiming to cement national unity and cohesion, in line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visions.
Members of the delegation lauded the services provided by the Shaikh Isa Cultural Centre for the aim of upgrading knowledge and intellectual activities in the Kingdom.
