As part of her visit to Russia and efforts towards reinforcing cultural relations the Minister of Culture Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa conducted a visit to “The wonders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia archaeology over the centuries” exhibition being hosted in Armitage museum at St. Petersburg.
The exhibition was officially opened by the Saudi President of the General Tourism Authority Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
On arrival Shaikha Mai was received by the director of the museum Professor Mikhail Piotrovsky and the Saudi Arabian ambassador to Russia Ali bin Hassan Jaffer.
The minister hailed the content of the exhibition affirming with that the deep rooted relations existing between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. She also highlighted the role of the Russian Culture ministry that expressed its support to Bahrain in its efforts towards hosting the World Heritage meeting in 2012. The minister affirmed that there were serious efforts to organize joint activities especially following the cooperation agreement two day ago.
