Royal University for Women proudly celebrated Bahraini Women’s Day. The event was held in the Student Affairs Center on Campus with the presence of students, faculty, staff and some visitors. The event started with the national anthem, followed by recitations from the Qur’an.
The Dean of Student Affairs then welcomed all the attendees and especially the guest speakers. Muneera Bin Hindi, member of the Shurra Council and key speaker of the event, gave a talk highlighting Bahraini women’s development and their important part in contributing to the society.
Dr. Jameela Al Mukhaimer then gave an assessment of the health status and needs of Bahraini women. Great Bahraini Poet, Fathiya Al Ajlan also said a few of her poems in relations to the role of women and her importance. The event ended by a Bahraini traditional dance that was done by a group of children from Kanoo International School.
