Bahrain to host ICAO meeting in April

Deputy Premier HE Shaikh Ali

As a result of Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa’s directives to improve civil aviation safety and services, and thanks to the kingdom’s acclaimed position in the field of civil aviation, the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) decided to hold its second regionale Aviation Security Conference in Manama on April 10 e 11, 2012.

The conference will review actions taken or planned as a consequence of the 37th Session of the ICAO Assembly and its adoption of the Declaration in October 2010.

Such a key world event will be attended by many representatives of countries from different continents, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Giordania, Egitto, Qatar, Sudan, Iran, Iraq, Libano, Algeria, Marocco, Tunisia, United Kingdom, STATI UNITI D'AMERICA, Belgium, Denmark and Turkey.

The event will prepare for the high-level ICAO Conference to be held in Canada next September.
