Around 505 students successfully completed their professional qualifications and were honoured during the BIBF’s 24th Annual Graduation ceremony held at Gulf Hotel under the patronage of Rasheed Almaraj, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).
Among them 71 graduates were recognised for the advanced banking studies diploma programme, 41 for the advanced insurance studies diploma programme, 22 for the insurance management diploma programme, 74 for the professional insurance certificate (PIC), 11 for the associate of chartered insurance institute, 10 for the Tamkeen insurance diploma, 94 for the advanced diploma in Islamic finance, 21 for the advanced diploma in Islamic finance (Waqf Fund), 57 for the CIPD – certificate in personnel practice (CPP), 10 for the CIPD – certificate in training practice (CTP), 3 for the Cambridge – international diploma in management, 27 for the Tamkeen chartered management diploma (CMI) and 64 for the University of Wales Validated Diploma.
BIBF’s Director, Garry Muriwai, congratulated all graduates on behalf of BIBF’s staff and faculty. He acknowledged their dedication and encouraged them to constantly seek knowledge and aggressively pursue continued education and skills training.
“With the support of its stakeholders and the direction of the Specific Council for Vocational Training (Banking Sector) in addition to the continuous support from the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, BIBF maintained the highest standards of excellence in all aspects of its training and educational process and remains a premier centre of excellence,” said Muriwai. “Our scope of programmes has year on year continued to expand with additional internationally recognised programs in partnership with a number of acclaimed international professional bodies and academic institutions,” he said.
“We remain firmly committed to providing world class programmes to equip participants with the right skills to meet the rapidly changing marketplace demands”.
Al Maraj and Muriwai presented the certificates to the graduates in the presence of Financial sector CEOs, Training Managers and other sector representatives and graduates families.
This year, in addition to Bahrain based students, BIBF honored students from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Syria, Jordan, Sudan, Libya and Yemen.
Outstanding graduates were also recognised and received special awards during the ceremony.
