Oil and Gas Affairs Minister and Chairman of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) Dr. Abdul Hussein bin Ali Mirza received the Resident Representative of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in Bahrain Sayed Agha who was accompanied by a delegation of UNDP experts.
During the meeting, Dr. Mirza lauded the on-going cooperation between NOGA and the UNDP, especially the establishment of a National Energy Conservation and Planning Centre in Bahrain, wishing the UNDP team every success.
Sayed Agha expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Mirza for the significant issues raised during the meeting, hailing the kingdom’s highly advanced development programmes at all levels, especially in the fields of oil and gas.
It is worth noting that NOGA and the UNDP signed last June 15 a memorandum on conducting a study on the feasibility of establishing a National Energy Conservation and Planning Centre in the Kingdom to serve as the country’s main reference for all energy data, providing analysis and planning for an informed decision-making.
