The famous Italian cruise ship “Costa Deliziosa” docked at the Khalifa Bin Salman Port (KBSP) with 3200 tourists on board, mostly Italian nationals.
Upon arrival, they were welcomed by the Culture Ministry’s tourism sector officials led by the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Tourism Nada Ahmed Yassine and the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Tourism Committee Jawad Al Hawaj.
A special reception was held in honour of the visitors, which testifies to hospitality and warm welcome Bahraini people usually accord to visitors.
Nada Yassine asserted that the number of tourists who have visited the Kingdom this year, 2010, has reached 27491 as of now, making an obvious increase compared to the previous years, which, she indicated, implies that the tourism sector in Bahrain is on the right track. Most of those who arrived in Bahrain expressed their admiration of the Kingdom’s magnificent tourist, historical and heritage sites, lauding Bahraini people’s friendliness and hospitality.
