Batelco, which is well known for its philanthropic programmes which greatly support and enhance the lives of Bahrainis all over the Kingdom of Bahrain, has treated youngsters with footballs. The initiative is part of Batelco’s ongoing commitment designed for special fun programme targeting young people in particular, which has seen Batelco branded footballs handed out to football fans in Bahraini villages.
Batelco staff visited dozens of villages as part of the distribution drive and met with hundreds of football fans at the village football grounds, where football players gather daily to join in friendly matches.
“We have developed this idea as football is arguably the most popular pastime for youths in Bahraini villages,” said Batelco Group General Manager Media Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.
“Everyday young football fans can be seen playing football on open ground which has been designated as their local football pitch and we are very keen to support them as they have lots of fun while improving their playing skills.”
“Football is a language that the youth understand, it helps them in forming friendships and enhancing their social skills while keeping them fit; this is something that Batelco is very happy to be a part of,” he added.
