KINGDOM of Bahrain on Monday celebrated the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the National Action Charter, a major step towards success,freedom and greater democracy.
His Majesty the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa hailed the landmark national achievements over the past ten years by paying tribute to citizens who voted in the referendum and contributed to the success of the National Action Charter initiative.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander also attended the event at Al Sakhir Palace.
HM the King pointed out the importance of the National Action Charter which put Bahrain on the path of modernism and fostering leadership on the basis of the separation of powers, rights and duties. Addressing Bahraini citizens, he said that the development momentum would continue.
HM the King Hamad paid tribute to Bahrain armed forces, Public Security and the National Guard forces for their dedication to protect Bahrain’s security and honoured the Royal special forces for ranking first for combativeness and administrative readiness.
HM the King also distributed the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, Bahrain and Proficiency medals to the national pioneers. Present were members of the Ruling Family, Shura Council president, Parliament chairman, senior officials and members of the diplomatic corps.
