His Majesty the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, condoled with the families of the two victims who lost their lives during first two days of protest started on Monday.
In an address to the nation marking the birthday of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), HM the King ordered a probe into the unfortunate incident.
“Bahrain has become a Kingdom with full sovereignty, tolerant and advanced in all fields thanks to citizens’ efforts,” HM the King said vowing to work more in collaboration with the Bahraini people for a better Bahrain.
HM the King, expressing deep regret over the death of the two citizens, Ali Abdulhadi Mushaima and Fadhel Salman Matrook, gave directives to form a probe panel. The panel will be formed by Deputy Prime Minister Jawad bin Salim Al Arrayadh to look into the causes of these events.
“The legislative power will be asked to investigate the phenomenon and propose the needed legislation for it,” he added pointing out that freedom of expression is a right guaranteed and organised by the constitution.
“There is a law organising peaceful marches which was approved by an elected council. Therefore, everyone has to comply with it.”
He also pledged to continue the reform process unabatedly adding those 10 years ago, on February 14, the doors were opened to freedoms and responsibility out of love for the Bahraini people and for the sake of their dignity.
