Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa visits the GPIC Complex

Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa visited the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) Complex in Sitra. He held a meeting with GPIC director-general Abdulrahman Jawaheri, who conveyed greetings from HRH Premier’s Advisor for industrial and oil affairs and GPIC chairman Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa.
He also outlined the company’s operations, stressing the high quality of its products, being sold at international markets, particularly the US. He also updated Shaikh Nasser on training programmes to promote GPIC employees’ competence and skills. Shaikh Nasser was also briefed on the company’s programmes and achievements, regarding productivity, safety, marketing, the protection of the environment and global awards. He also visited key projects initiated by the GPIC, the charity fish farm and birds’ safe haven. He also inaugurated the extension of the fish farm, named after him marking his visit, and planted a palm-tree on this occasion.
