The Kingdom of Bahrain has announced the failure of a long-dating plot to subvert security and stability.
“An external plot has been fomented for twenty to thirty years for the ground to be ripe for subversive designs”, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander said. He pointed out that if this subversive plot succeeded in one GCC country it might then spill over.
“Such subversive designs are not however possible, whether in Bahrain or in any other GCC country, thank Goodness” he said. “I here announce the failure of the fomented subversive plot”, he revealed a he met the Peninsula Shield Commander and officers. He was welcomed by Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, National Guard Chief Major-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Peninsula Shield Joint Forces Commander Major-General Mutlaq bin Salem Al Azima’a and other senior officers. HM the King paid tribute to all GCC leaders for their keenness to deter dangers jeopardizing the Kingdom of Bahrain, reflecting strong fraternal historic relations, common destiny and firm commitment to the joint defence agreements.
“This day is a real festive Eid day, for seeing you and for your deployment to assume your duties fully and speedily”, HM the King said, hailing long-dating agreements and shared confidence and love between peoples and leaders over years. “Your presence here today alongside your brothers is a boost for them.
It also gives us strength and bolsters our status. Bahrain is bigger and stronger today than ever”, he said, hailing the GCC brotherly leaders’ commitment.
He pointed out that the GCC is an effective bloc in deeds rather than words, describing the recent developments in Bahrain as a test from Allah Almighty. HM the King hailed the historic role of the Peninsula Shield Joint Forces and their participation in liberating Kuwait. “The Peninsula Shield will remain as a bulwark defending all GCC members, a force of good, security and peace and model of cooperation between GCC states and peoples”, he said.
