Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, the Managing Director and CEO of KFH-B on Thursday said that despite the protests the banking industry remained resilient with deposits of the major banks’ showed no significant negative trend during that period.
Alkhayyat, who hosted 600 employees of KFH-B and its subsidiaries at the Gulf Hotel, told reporters that the business were coming back to normal in the country.
The luncheon meeting themed “One heart for Bahrain” was well attended by the employees who according to Alkhayyat showed the commitment of the employees of the KFH-B.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain during the past few weeks has witnessed exceptional circumstances and challenging times for us all, whether for individuals, businesses or financial institutions,” said Alkhayyat, while welcoming the staff.
“I want to express my sincere appreciation for the level of attendance to work during these challenging times and commend each and every staff member for their resilience and commitment to the Bank and their country. Without doubt, thanks to All Mighty Allah, there are positive indications that the Kingdom have begun to stabilize and move into a new phase of recovery, which requires a united front for us all to work together. Bahrain has always proven that with the efforts of a united front significant social and economic progress has been made and it stands proud of its achievements and successes,” he added.
“Our greatest asset is our people. Human resource is at the heart of every organization and staff gatherings like this present a great opportunity to bring all our people together and reconfirm that we are an integral part of a bigger family that brings under its umbrella all the components of the Bahraini society, whether citizens or residents. At KFH-Bahrain we strive to involve all our staff in activities that are aimed at empowering and encouraging our employees to maximize their potential,” he said.
After the meeting, the staff expressed their gratitude and satisfaction with the positive initiative made by the management of KFH–B. Many of the staff noted that this initiative was welcomed at this time and would contribute highly towards cementing the culture within the bank and its subsidiaries and motivate employees to work together to achieve even greater success for the KFH–B Group and further for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
