Former MP Shaikh Mohammed Khalid revealed that a group of perpetrators were planning to attack worshippers at Fatima Mosque in Hamad Town.
Speaking to Bahrain TV, he unveiled the plot, saying that “as soon as the Imam finished the Friday sermon at the mosque, eleven misled youths started their hideous crime and could have succeeded hadn’t late-comers who witnessed everything, warned worshippers, which made them, flee the mosque.”
Shaikh Mohammed also appreciated the tremendous efforts currently made by the BTV staff to show reality of what is happening in the kingdom and respond to the other channels whose aim is to bring about dissension among the citizens of the same nation.
In this context, he slammed the Tehran-based “Al Alem” channel’s biased coverage of the incidents in the Bahrain, and claims that the GCC Peninsula Shield troops oppressed protestors after the Friday prayers.
Shaikh Mohammed also hailed the efforts exerted by Public security and Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) officers to restore security in the kingdom, paying tribute to those officers who martyred while carrying out their sacred national duty.
