Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al Sabah said that what bonds the GCC states is more important than any agreements, asserting that those treaties are only a reflection of the depth of those solid relations.
Speaking as he paid an inspection visit last night to the Kuwaiti Naval Forces deployed in the kingdom under the umbrella of the Joint Peninsula Shield troops, Shaikh Azzam asserted that the GCC security and stability are integral and that GCC states’ cohesion is the bulwark to achieve them.
In a statement to the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA), he also stated that security and stability are essential pre-requisites for beginning the national dialogue in Bahrain.
Commander of the Kuwaiti Naval Force Lieutenant Colonel Majed Al Shammari indicated that his force’s role was to support the Royal Bahrain Naval Force (RBNF) in protecting the Kingdom’s territorial waters.
Kuwaiti’s Military Attaché to Bahrain Colonel General Ali Al-Assaker, the Kuwiati Embassy’s officials and RBNF Commander Brigadier General Abdulla Al Mansoori were also present.
