Bahrain strongly denounced statements made by Lebanese Hassan Nasrullah who represents a terrorist organization whose profile is laden with acts of regional destabilization. The Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning Nasrullah’s flagrant interference in the Kingdom’s internal affairs and explicit attack on its leadership and people.
“Bahrain, the independent and sovereign state, denounces lies and allegations by Hassan Nasrullah regarding current incidents in the kingdom which aims to serve foreign goals and studied plots,” the statement said.
“Bahrain holds the Lebanese government responsible for the repercussions of those statements and false allegations which will undoubtedly impact on bilateral relations.”
The statement also stressed that the Bahraini people who throw their heavy weight behind their leadership will help Bahrain remain an oasis of security and stability and the Kingdom will never be misled by such terrorist speeches made by someone like Hassan Nasrullah.
Nasrullah’s odd behaviour was also described as an infringement of the sovereignty of Bahrain which is a member of the United Nations, the Arab league, the Organization of Islamic Conference and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The statement hailed the honourable stance of the GCC countries in backing Bahrain in the security, defence and economic fields out of belief in common destiny and collective responsibility.
Nasrullah’s “statements in no way serve regional security and stability and will affect the Lebanese interests in Bahrain and the GCC countries at a time we need more than ever before to stand one rank in the face of any attempt to undermine our security and stability.”
