His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has paid tribute to Bahraini youngsters, hailing their awareness and keenness to contribute to their country’s future. He was speaking as he received at Al Safriya Palace Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in the presence of SCYS first deputy chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and a group of Bahraini youngsters who took part in the Youth Dialogue Conference.
Shaikh Nasser submitted to HM the King the visions and recommendations reached at the conference. The Youth Voice Conference, which attracted over 2,500 youngsters, was held under the theme “No to Sectarianism”. HM the King described the youngsters’ quick positive response to Shaikh Nasser’s as reflecting their consciousness and sense of responsibility. He lauded the initiative which, he said, reflected youngsters’ ambition and aspiration to engage in a constructive dialogue, towards improving their conditions and paving the ways for themselves. “Bahraini youngsters have a crucial role to play in their country’s comprehensive development”, he said, stressing their sincere desire to achieve all citizens’ demands.
He extended thanks to all the participants for tabling valuable recommendations, vowing that the demands will be taken into account with utmost interest.
“The demands which can be achieved now will be implemented will be carried out soon”, HM the King said, adding that the demands which required to be addressed legally and constitutionally will be referred to concerned authorities to be scrutinized.
As for other demands which required to be negotiated they will be referred to the table of multi-party national dialogue table, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme. He described the constructive initiative as a positive step to consolidate Bahrain’s stability and development and achieve all desired hopes and goals.
The youngsters thanked HM the King for his keen interest in their visions and proposals and resolve to achieve their recommendations, praising his directives which reflected his optimism as to the crucial role of youngsters in serving their nation and ensuring its development march. Shaikh Nasser delivered a poem marking this occasion.
