His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa hailed the Kingdom’s major achievements and lauded citizens for their contribution towards national development.
“Bahrain’s tremendous achievements in various fields are the dividend of citizens’ efforts who are working diligently for the prosperity of their country,” he said as he received at Safriya Palace a number of citizens.
HM King Hamad welcomed them lauding their good efforts in serving their nation and boosting the comprehensive development march. “Our belief in this people as well as their conscience and civilizational behaviour gives us utmost confidence that the future will be brighter thanks to the one-family spirit, love, brotherhood, co-existence, religious tolerance and rejection of sectarianism and bigotry,” HM affirmed. “We will spare no effort to further improve citizens’ welfare and vital services,” he added.
“The comprehensive national dialogue is a positive and civilizational step to achieve the aspirations of the Bahraini people for more reforms and to boost security and stability,” he asserted urging all to sit at the table of dialogue in order to reach common goals.
The citizens extended thanks and respect to HM the King for the major political, social and economic reforms which have brought about a qualitative change for Bahrain and promoted its status among civilized countries. They also took pride in the kingdom’s accomplishments spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad to improve citizens’ living conditions praying God Almighty to protect Bahrain and its people.
Following the meeting, Shaikh Abdul Hussain Al Shaikh Khalaf Al Asfoor said HM the King’s words were assuring and since he vested the national dialogue to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, “we hope for a future full of success and peace in this country for the personality to whom the dialogue has been assigned is really competent to administer the issue and shoulder the responsibility.”
Shaikh Rashid Al Hajiri praised the meeting describing it as a source of hope for a better future and an expression of allegiance to the leadership as it was held in the same place where the National Action Charter was inaugurated.
Ibrahim Nunu described the meeting as fruitful and hoped security and stability would prevail in Bahrain.
Shaikh Abdullatif Al Mahmoud urged all Bahrainis to assume their responsibilities to achieve peaceful co-existence which has ever characterized Bahrain despite different doctrines and religions.
Shaikh Miqdad Zineddine expressed honour and delight at meeting HM the King lauding his and the forefathers’ wisdom in maintaining cohesion and harmony among the Bahraini people. “We have lived in Bahrain as one family, and crises when they happen in the same home, they are solved through dialogue and consultation,” he said.
Advisor Dr. Shaikh Abdullah Al Maqabi underlined the importance for the national dialogue. “The door for dialogue is open and everyone can express his opinion freely to reach the best results and solutions.”
