His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed his trust in citizens’ solidarity and unity to emerge from this defining moment.
“Our people, regardless of their affinities or religions, have all along its history, disapproved of sectarianism and dissensions”, he said.
He was speaking as he received at Al Safriya Palace senior members of the Ruling Family. His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, also attended.
HM the King described all Bahrainis as a closely-knit family, bound together by the spirit of love and respect which emanate from noble Islamic values and precepts and ancestral genuine Arabian traditions.
He asserted that the march of modernisation and reform would continue upbeat, stressing his unflinching efforts to improve citizen’s standards of living and promote comprehensive development programmes.
He also described the call to engage in a multiparty dialogue as stemming from the firm keenness to cement national unity, foster positive participation and promote an exchange of opinions to the benefit of all parties.
He extended thanks to all Bahrainis who proved their patriotic mettle and voiced their unwavering love and allegiance to their leadership.
He also paid tribute to the GCC states and Arab and friendly countries, hailing their keenness on Bahrain’s stability and stability.
