His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has chaired the 216th regular meeting of the Ruling Family Council, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.
He lauded the historic role of the Ruling Family in protecting Bahrain and preserving its identity as a Muslim, Arab independent and sovereign country.
“The Ruling Family has played a crucial role as a nation-builder, promoting the principles of tolerance, peaceful co-existence and the spirit of closely-knit family”, he said. He lauded the high attributes characterizing the Ruling Family, citing, particularly, its humility, noble morality and the respect it shows for all people.
“These inherent qualities have helped the Ruling Family assume its historic nation-building role, thus becoming a model to emulate for patience, generosity and magnanimity”, he said. HM King Hamad took pride in being “father and brother” to all people in this beloved country.
He expressed his full confidence that the Ruling Family would continue serving its country and people, with the same noble spirit in all areas of work. “Your noble goal is to serve the nation with the same dedication, advocating good and combating evil”, HM King Hamad said.
Sounding optimistic about Bahrain’s present and future, he spoke of happier days to come soon. “We are closer than ever to the days of felicity. The good omens of security and safety are now clear before our eyes”, he said.
He wished all success for the sake of the nation and its citizens. The council, chaired by HM the King, discussed issues concerning the Ruling Family.
