King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Safriya palace today British National Security Advisor Peter Ricketts who conveyed to him the greetings of British Prime Minister David Cameron and his best wishes of further progress and prosperity to Bahrain.
Both sides discussed regional developments as well as strong bilateral relations and ways of further enhancing them. HM King Hamad stressed Bahrain’s keenness to further promote bilateral friendly relations thanking the UK for its support to the kingdom’s initiative calling for national dialogue which is hoped to strengthen security and stability and ensure more prosperity for Bahrain.
“The Bahraini society is closely-knit and harmonious. We are all one family and things are going well,” he said asserting that reform in Bahrain will continue without stopping to reach out to citizens’ needs. He also asked the British official to convey his greeting to the British Prime Minister.
Ricketts paid tribute to Bahrain’s major and remarkable strides on the path of reform and modernization thanks to the royal reform project initiated by HM the King. He also underscored his country’s full-fledged support to the comprehensive national dialogue tipping it the right way to solve all issues. He urged to engage immediately in an unconditional dialogue to guarantee its success.
