His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa issued his directives to slash and freeze some government fees to help traders and owners of small and medium enterprises get back on their feet.
He instructed to distribute government projects on many contractors to maximize benefit and activate the trade momentum.
At a meeting today with traders and businessmen, he emphasized the government’s keenness to reach out to the needs of traders and owners of small and medium enterprises and provide more facilities for them.
“We will work on removing all obstacles hampering the commercial sector to further invigorate it,” he said, stressing that strengthening the national economy will remain a top priority for the government.
“We will provide more facilities and incentives to help the commercial sector overcome the crisis and preserve achievements,” he added pledging support for all loyal parties who placed the national interest above anything else.
“We will remain one people,” he said vowing to enforce justice on those who tried to harm the nation and jeopardize its security, stability and economy.
He hailed the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and people in staving off sedition. “This is unforgettable and will be cherished with pride and appreciation,” he said.
“The crisis was big and has left not only economic, commercial and security repercussions but also psychological ones. However, with our will and determination, we will overcome it,” He asserted.
He called on all economic sectors to work collaboratively in this difficult phase to boost the economic momentum and promote competitiveness.
He described regaining security and stability as a pre-requisite to enhance the economic process and urged an immediate work plan to be set up to help small and medium businessmen.
He called for cooperation between the private sector and the government in this regard describing the task as a national duty which requires collective cooperation.
