Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa on Monday said that the results of efforts aimed at restoring security across the Kingdom of Bahrain were “evident in all areas”.
Shaikh Rashid, who received US Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Stephanie Williams and US 5th Naval Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Mark Fox, said that as result of ongoing efforts the life was back to normal in all vital segments of the society.
“The activity is back at normal scale whether in Government institutions of the private sector. Citizens and expatriates are exercising their normal lives,” he said.
He highlighted a general desire among all people to maintain order and civil peace and overcome the crisis without disrupting security.
Stephanie Williams underscored the necessity to restore security and stability in Bahrain and the importance of regional stability in general.
“The best path to address the situation is for all parties to accept the principle of national dialogue as a way to promote understanding and consensus towards achieving national goals,” he said. Present were Public Security Chief Major-General Tarak bin Dainah and Interior Ministry’s Spokesman Brigadier Tarak Al-Hassan.
