The Minister of Foreign Affairs Bahrain Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa on Saturday assured that those responsible for the killings of innocent Pakistanis in the recent past would be brought to justice.
The Foreign Minister, who met with community during a goodwill visit to the Pakistan Embassy in Diplomatic Area, said that those who shed the blood of Pakistani brothers would be not spared and would definitely face justice.
He assured that perpetrators of brutal killings of Pakistani community in the recent acts of barbarism would be brought to justice.
The Foreign Minister also offered fateh for those were killed by the thugs in Manama and conveyed condolences to the deceased’s friends, families and the Government of Pakistan.
“The steadfastness of the Pakistani people during the unfolding events is just unforgettable for the entire people Bahrain.
“Those who lost lives were our brothers and the leadership and the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain is taking all possible measures to feed the families of the deceased as well as providing housing to all dislocated families in the country,” he said.
On a question of the future pardons of especially to those found guilty of shedding blood of innocent Pakistanis he said there would no pardons in future. “The murderers will face justice without any doubt,” he said.
Upon his approval the Foreign Minister was welcomed by the Ambassador Ikramullah Mehsud, the embassy officials and the community leaders.
“The Pakistanis serving in the Kingdom are our countrymen as we don’t consider them expatriates as their children are our children, their families are our families. HM the King has conveyed his gratitude to the people of Pakistan and the Government is doing everything requires to rehabilitate the people again,” he said.
Talking out the relations he said the brotherly relations between two countries spans over many decades and has further strengthened during the challenging times of the past weeks.
“Pakistanis living here are part of the Bahraini society and we will continue to work together in all vital areas of common interest. We continue to be together in all ups and down and let’s enhance the base of co-operation as the sky is the limit,” he asserted.
“The security is coming back to normal and the Government wants to assure that security of each and every Pakistani is the top priority of the Government of Bahrain,” he said.
The Ambassador Ikramullah Mehsud said that he was overwhelmed with the gracious presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bahrain Shaikh Khalid which reflects the close ties, unanimity of views and the mutual respect of both sovereign states.
“We welcome the Foreign Minister and renew our commitment to the Kingdom of Bahrain which is a second home for Pakistanis living here. We thank the leadership including HM the King, HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince and the Foreign Minister for their renewed pledges of safety and security for the Pakistanis living here which have had boosted the morale of the community. We are here to work shoulder to shoulder with Bahraini brethren and this mach will continue without any interruption,” the Ambassador added.
