Bahrain is a one home, one family and this is the secret of Bahrain’s success story over the ages, according to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
HM King was speaking as he received at Al-Raoudha Palace officials and citizens, as part of continuous meetings with all parties reflecting his firm keenness to reach out to all Bahrainis.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa also attended. HM King Hamad said that Bahrain would always be a symbol of co-existence, harmony and cooperation, rejecting sedition and disunity.
He pledged that the march of reforms and development would continue, vowing to spare no effort to achieve all that people aspire to, in terms of development and progress in all fields.
“We will continue working, hand in hand, to build a bright future for the coming generations”, he said.
HM King Hamad expressed delight to see citizens as Bahrain is re-emerging and returning to normal life. “Inshallah Bahrain will be even better. It took real men like you for things to return to their normal state”, he said, praising their keenness on their country, families and deep-rooted values. Sounding optimistic, HM the King said the future augurs well for all, as long as loyal citizens multiply and remain steadfast in defending their country.
He underscored national unity as the secret behind Bahrain’s success story.
“The unity binding citizens has enabled Bahrain to go this far on the path of achievement and excellence”, he said.
“You all remember the hard times which faced our forefathers who braved the adversity and succeeded in confronting the challenges”, he added.
HM King Hamad expressed his pride as Bahrain once again beat the adversity and re-emerged stronger than ever.
“Today, I am proud of you all for passing the litmus test, as brothers and united and loving people”, he said. HM King Hamad pointed out the key pillars fostering national unity.
“We are unified by religion, origin and common destiny. There is no room for anyone to discriminate or defame anyone”, he pointed out. “We consider ourselves closely-knit family and this the secret underlying our success story”, he added, pointing out challenges and critical circumstances which Bahrain experiences. “Bahrain has gone through a lot of things. You all read. You all know”, he said. “I wanted to see you today, wishing you all success”, he added, paying tribute to all loyal citizens for their patriotic feels and unwavering allegiance to the leadership. “Your honourable stance has epitomized Bahrain people’s genuine mettle”, he said, citing solidarity and interconnection for the sake of their motherland and people. HM King Hamad underscored the importance of the majlis in Bahrain, being a deep-rooted authentic Arab tradition. “Our forefathers were keen on this decades-long tradition, passing it from generation to generation.”The majlis reflects deep spirit of kinship, love, national unity and cements social harmony”, he said. Officials and citizens expressed their allegiance, thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad, hailing his wise policies for averting Bahrain the dangers of this crisis and ensure the motherland re-emerges stronger than ever.
Shura Council President Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh hailed the meeting which, he said, epitomized national unity now that Bahrain re-emerged from the crisis and saw the light at the end of the tunnel. “Bahrain has always lived as one closely-knit family and will always be so”, he said. He described what happened as a “summer cloud”, as Bahrain has regained its security, serenity and stability.
“Citizens feel that Bahrain’s future will surely be better and the nice days HM the King promised would materialize on the ground. Parliament Chairman Khalifa Al-Dhahrani paid tribute to HM the King for his efforts, wisdom and patience.
He also paid tribute to the solidarity of all Arab leaders with the Kingdom of Bahrain. “HM the King expressed his confidence in the capacity of Bahrain to heal its wounds and remain forever a safe haven for co-existence”, he said.
Shaikh Abdullatif Al-Mahmoud, Dr. Abdulla Maqabi and Saint Christopher Cathedral dean reverend Christopher Butt all paid tribute to HM the King, wishing Bahrain unity, co-existence. Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Centre Khateeb, earlier read prayers thanking Allah Almighty for averting Bahrain seditious designs and blessing its anew with security and stability.
