GCC Handball Champion Al-Ahli Club goalkeeper Khalid Abbas Mohammed has hoisted Bahrain flag atop the highest mountain peak in the world, Mount Everest, in a token of allegiance to the wise leadership and belonging to the Kingdom. Khalid Abbas Mohammed slammed players affiliated with Al-Ahli Club for defaming their country during the events which gripped the Kingdom of Bahrain recently.
He reiterated the allegiance of all Al-Ahli hand ball team and club affiliates to the wise leadership. He voiced their full support for the measures undertaken to protect security and stability and preserve national unity.
Al-Ahli players and affiliates have also pledged to spare no efforts to promote the name of Bahrain in the GCC, Arab and international sport arenas and bolster its status in the youth and sport arenas.
Khalid Abbas Mohammed extended deep thanks to Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) director general Abdulrahman Jawahery for sponsoring the flag-hoisting trip, paying tribute to all honourable sportsmen and citizens for their firm keenness on Bahrain’s national unity.
