Bahrain Teachers’ Society (BTS) president Mahdi Abu Deeb has been arrested, pending investigation, The Military Public Prosecutor’s office announced in a statement.
He is accused of issuing BTS statements inciting hatred of the political regime and violent crimes. He also faces charges of advocating regime change by force, and through illegal means, and calling for civil disobedience. The Military Public Prosecutor’s office also announced that Abdulaziz Abdulridha Ibrahim Esa had been arrested.
He masterminded the policemen’s murder and incited on this crime, along with other accomplices, for terror designs. He will appear before the specialized National Safety Court to face charges.
