Industry and Commerce Dr. Hassan Fakhro confirmed government interest to follow up on various economic activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressing in this context satisfaction of active movement taking place in shopping malls and major markets.
This came during an inspection visit by the minister and a number of officials yesterday morning to Bahrain City Centre and Seef Mall to inform the movement of the market and shoppers.
Through his presence in Bahrain City Center, officials confirmed the return of Natural movement of the mall, especially at the weekend. The mall also witnessed attraction by a large number of citizens to sign loyalty sword, which contributed to full the complex significantly. In addition to restaurant, cafes and cinemas are also back to normal.
The minister also visited Carrefour Hypermarket, where General Director Tamam Adel confirmed that things are back to normal and the market operates until eleven o’clock in the evening. He added that there are a number of summer promotions which include vegetables and fruits and others offer on a number of household appliances and electrical ranging from 20 to 30%.
Tamam also confirmed that there is a general stability witnessed in many food commodities where the price of rice drooped by 4% and the number of shoppers has increased whether citizens or visitors especially for KSA.
The minister made a similar visit to the Seef Mall, where Marketing Director Ali Zaman affirmed that things returned to normal. He added that the mall carried out promotional campaign contributed significantly to increase the number of Seef Mall shoppers.
