A group of people accused of murdering martyrs of duty policemen Kashef Ahmed Mandhur and Mohammed Farooq Abdulsamad first appeared before the Lower National safety Court on April 4. The defendants request the court for defense lawyers to be appointed for them.
The other suspects who are still at large have been notified their residence addresses, as stipulated in the 2002 law on penal procedures.
The court has on Wednesday held a second session for defendants to hear the count of charges leveled against them and demands of the military prosecutor and defence lawyers. The case has been adjourned till Sunday, April 10, to finalise legal proceedings.
