Minister of Housing Bassim Al Hamer confirmed the persistent efforts carried out by the ministry for conveying all housing projects and to be announced in the near future.
Al Hamar said that the Housing ministry was undergoing developed transitions, therefore residential units and schemes are pushing ahead with contemporary improved housing projects and plans aimed at resolving housing crisis.
Concerning the scope of work at East Hidd city, the minister said that work would start once sea reclamation was completed, it would cover 200 hectares and feature 5,000 housing units, and in addition the ministry will launch shortly tenders to undertake latest civil designs and developments, especially to projects of large enterprises.
Talking about the construction work at East Sitra city that will occupy 590 hectares and provide 6,600 housing units he confirmed the completion of implementing all procedures regarding the environmental aspect of the project, thus a public marine reclamation tender will be announced soon, taking into considerations the standards adopted by the ministry.
AL Hamar said that East of Sitra housing project was one of the many tributes of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Housing Ministry so as to ensure the slash of the ordered waiting list through offering about 6600 housing units in the area.
