The Information Affairs Authority signed a key deal to overhaul studio designs and work. The move is in line with the directives of IAA President Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa to upgrade all facilities and departments and acquire edge cutting technologies. Bahrain Radio and Television acting director general Ali bin Mohammed Al-Rumaihi sealed the agreement with a specialized firm to produce high quality news, social and cultural programmes.
“The agreement stems of the IAA’s drive to upgrade the standard of programme presentation as part of steps to produce a variety of programmes which address key social issues and discuss different ideas”, he said. He described the steps as in line with the IAA strategic vision, which aims at preserving the landmark achievements yielded by the reform project and the democratic march. Under the key blueprint the IAA has already approved a string of projects, programmes functions and news activities.
“The signing of the key deal is also part of the IAA to revamp Bahrain’s media outlook to keep abreast the media revolution which is sweeping the world nowadays, banking on edge-cutting technologies and a clear and comprehensive strategy”, Al Rumaihi said.
He stressed the IAA’s firm keenness to brush up on the skills of its cadres to assume its media mission and cope with landmark development strides in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, paying tribute to the IAA staff for their dedication to promote Bahrain’s media status.
