President of the Kuwait Center for Strategic Studies Dr. Sammy Al Faraj asserted that Iran failed to crack the society of Bahrain. The people of Bahrain have voted on the referendum of Bahrain’s independence in the United Nations in 1970, approved the system of governance and voted for the National Action Charter in 2001.
According to a Kuwaiti newspaper, Dr. Al Faraj stated that Iran’s failure led its Iranian Intelligence Agency to take advantage of the protests that took place in Bahrain. Noting that Iran is based on revolutionary thought, this is refused by the people of Bahrain.
Dr. Sammy believed that the reason behind Iran’s attempts to spy on Kuwait is their assumption that it has been banned from the region especially by Americans. He clarified that Tehran underestimates the GCC force, and fears the presence of western military.
He described Iranian spying networks as cells that work from a defense perspective in the event of any military strike on Iran. This comes as a reaction aimed at attacking oil export terminals in Kuwait to disable output, since Iran is under international restriction, which prevents the exchange on its nuclear programme.
