The case of a Bahraini who is accused of attempted murder policemen has been adjourned till May 3. Suleiman Yahya Hamza has appeared before the Lower Safety Court in a session during which five defence witnesses were heard.
The court has also adjourned the case of ten people accused of kidnapping a policeman and holding him as a hostage till May 3.
A copy of a medical report concerning the 5th and 9th suspects has been submitted to the Lower Safety Court.
Hassan Abdelwahab Ahmed has also appeared before the Lower Safety Court, accused of covering up one of the suspects and holding a stolen police weapon. His case has also been adjourned till May 3.
The Lower Safety Court session has been attended by National Human Rights Organisation Tarak Al-Saffar and Alice Samaan, Gulf European Centre for Human Rights representative Salman Nasser Abdulla, Bahrain Human Rights Watch Society representative Ateyatala Rouhani and the defendants’ relatives.
