BDF Commander-in-Chief Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, who paid a visit to the Peninsula Shield Force and the Royal Tank Battalion 15, said that Peninsula Shield would remain deployed until the foreign threat would be over.
He was received by the Peninsula Shield Force Commander Major General Mutlaq bin Salem Al Azaima’a, Colonel Ali Saeed Al Mansouri and senior officers.
Shaikh Khalifa thanked the Peninsula Shield Force personnel for their honourable stance and support to Bahrain which embodied strong fraternal ties and collective responsibility to preserve security and stability of the GCC countries and protect their achievements.
“The Peninsula Shield Force will continue to receive support from all the GCC member states to further develop it and achieve set up goals,” he said adding that the troops would remain deployed in Bahrain until the foreign threat is over.
He also lauded the forces’ strong morale praising their efforts in re-imparting the sense of security and stability among people and protecting Bahrain’s vital areas.
Shaikh Khalifa was accompanied during the visit by Inspector General Major General Abdullah Hassan Al Nuaimi, Planning, Organisation and Technology Director Commodore Yussef Ahmed Malallah and Joint Operations Director Brigadier Ghanim Ibrahim Al Fadhala.
