The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) opens the doors to participants in the Arab Women’s Organization Award (AWO) on “Arab Women in Science and Technology Development”, as part of AWO efforts on empowering women.
SCW secretary general circulated general invitations to all public and private universities, as well as the Strategic Studies Gulf Centre.
AWO award aims to manifest outstanding Arab women, and to encourage Arab and expatriates researchers to harness science and technology in the service of their Arab communities.
The 2011 award is granted to science fields of natural, mathematical, and intra sciences.
The award requires applicants of the natural or mathematical science field to be either Bahraini women or Arab member states.
As for intra science, the award is granted to Arab researchers with scientific development in serve of the Arab region, and requires applicants with Arab member states nationality living abroad the Arab region.
Applicants are required to present published researches by certified periodicals, and in serve of general development issues on local, Arab or international level and the $21,000 award will be equally distributed on the three mentioned areas.
