Measures taken by the Government to restore law and order as well as bringing the normalcy back and not aimed at any specific group or sect.
This was the crux of the meeting between His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa who received at his Riffa Palace on Tuesday His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Economic Development Board Chairman.
They discussed the latest national developments and return of life to normal in all domains stressing that measures taken aim to preserve security and stability and protect national achievements.
“Those measures do not target any group of people or sect but they are indispensable given the situation which could have plunged the country into undesirable circumstances with unacceptable repercussions,” they said.
They also hailed reforms brought about by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa including development of constitutional establishments and creation of an open and democratic climate.
“The door has always been open to reform,” they stressed pointing out the need to abide by the law.
“Despite the bitter and dangerous crisis, protecting human rights and dignity and respecting international conventions and agreements have always been the government’s top priority while dealing with the requirements of the situation,” both leaders emphasized pointing out that all measures were taken according to the law.
“As the government rejects breaking the law, it also does not accept turning a blind eye to it by any party,” they said lauding the efforts of employees in different ministries and private sector establishments who challenged the adverse circumstances and insisted to continue working to keep the economic momentum on. “These workers are worth to be honoured by their employers,” they added.
Both leaders also reviewed development projects and ways to revitalize the national economy lauding the positive results achieved by the financial and banking institutions over the past four months. They underscored the importance of the public budget in speeding up implementation of various government-funded development projects aimed to benefit citizens.
They also stressed the need for the media message to be strong enough to debunk fallacies urging all concerned bodies to coordinate efforts in this regard.
