The signing of the Allegiance Pledges and Loyalty Swords to the Wise Leadership in the Muharraq Governorate held under the patronage of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa at the Muharraq Club’s Hall, which concluded on Tuesday.
Thousands of Muharraq residents came to the Hall in order to express their full-fledged support for the wise leadership, taking pride in the innumerable landmark development achievements attained thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, follow up of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.
They also noted that the Bahraini citizens have, over the past period, set an example of unity and cohesion with the wise leadership for the sake of protecting the kingdom’s safety and stability and consolidating the landmark accomplishments attainted thanks to the clear vision of HM King Hamad, adding that the wise leadership has spared no effort for the sake of developing the kingdom at all levels.
They also lauded the crucial role played by Shaikh Nasser in promoting the youth and sport movements in the kingdom, which raised the kingdom’s position higher in this regard.
The signing of the Allegiance Pledges and Loyalty Swords to the Wise Leadership in the Capital Governorate will be held at the Bahrain City Centre from April 21 to 23 from 10 am to 10 pm.
Iran’s proposal urging interference defeated
An Iranian proposal urging intervention in certain cases to protect people has been defeated.
Bahrain ‘s legislative delegation to the 124th session of the Inter-parliamentary Union in Panama succeeded in mobilizing international support for the Iranian proposal to be aborted.
The Iranian setback came during a discussion session under the theme: “Recent Political Unrest in the World: Lessons for the Sake of Democracy”. Led by Shura Council first deputy president Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, the delegation rejected the Iranian blatant proposed, stressing the illegality of any flagrant interference in other countries’ internal affairs. It also urged the Iranian Government to cease its blatant interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs.
Fakhro attended the session along with other members Dr. Aisha Salem Mubarak and Dr. Salah Ali.
