Members of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Regional Commission for Polio Eradication have commended Bahrain’s detailed report on its achievements and activities aiming to keep the Kingdom free from the disease.
This came a Bahraini delegation, including the Public Health Director and Head of the National Polio Eradication Certification Committee of Bahrain Dr. Khairiya Mousa and Head of the Immunization Department at the Health Ministry’s Public Health Directorate Dr. Jalila Al Sayad took part in the annual meeting of the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Office held recently in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of the UAE Health Minister Dr. Hanif Hassan Ali, in the presence of the Regional Director of the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Office Dr. Hussein Abdul Razzaq Al Jazaeri, and a number of experts.
During the meeting, Dr. Khairiya Mousa presented the kingdom’s report, highlighting the efforts made by the kingdom in field of polio eradication.
