Zain Bahrain has announced upgrading to the latest version of the nation-wide WiMAX network which offers a state-of-the-art technology to an increasingly technologically demanding user-base, in an exciting development that will put more broadband power into its customers’ hands.
The upgrade is part of Zain Bahrain’s continuous efforts to maintain its technological lead and enhance its customer services by offering new products and services that will reflect the many new ways in which customers are today using their telecommunications and broadband access.
“Zain Bahrain introduced the first nation-wide WiMAX in the world to Bahrain in 2007, thus putting the Kingdom on the global telecoms map,” said Zain General Manager, Mohammed Zainalabedin.
“Today, we are preparing for the future by upgrading to the latest version of WiMAX which will enable us to ramp up our broadband speed and offer a much wider range of broadband offerings.”
The upgraded version of WiMAX offers Zain customers increased reliability and higher speeds and enables Zain Bahrain to restructure its broadband and fixed WiMax services to offer more innovative voice and data solutions at extremely attractive prices. Customers can look forward to higher thresholds and excellent value-for-money.
“At Zain Bahrain, we will use the superior speed and reliability of the upgraded version of WiMAX to maximize our broadband bouquet,” said the Zain Business Solutions Expert, Mohammed Al Alawi, “Customers can look forward to exciting new offers that will be assigned to meet their new lifestyle requirements and deliver a better overall end-to-end experience. You can watch streaming video from YouTube, you can download enormous files, pictures and video in just seconds, or wirelessly share a live event via video as it happens. These and other vastly improved services will be available to Zainers, thanks to our upgrade.”
As part of its rollout plan, Zain Bahrain will also be replacing old WIMAX routers with powerful new routers that will enable access to upgraded WiMAX services. One of the big benefits of the upgrade is that it will put Zain customers in sync with Bahrain’s ambitious e-government plans that will see more and more facilities such as healthcare, utilities and government services transactions go online in the months ahead. The new version of WiMAX, with its promise of enhanced speed and service bouquet, will put these services at the fingertips of Zainers.
