The Deputy Premier and Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology Chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa honoured the winners of Bahrain e-Content 2011.
In electronic media e-Media category, 24X7 News (www.twentyfoursevennews.com) English language portal has won the Bahrain e-Content Award 2011 and other two winning Arabic portals were of Al Ayam and Al Watan newspapers.
The winners of the eGovernment were the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, and the Shura Council. Meanwhile, the e-Health category award was won by the Ministry of Health and Bahrain International Hospital and the e-Education was attained by the e-Content of Zain e-Education, University of Bahrain, small consumer and designer’s network.
As for the recreational category the award went to His Majesty King Hamad Future Schools project for its game “golden falcon”, (O) Cinema service by Batelco, Zain World (Wow) and the category of e-culture, was won by the website Mosaic of Bahrain, and impossible directions, Weeping Palestine. In the category of e-science the award went to the website (Discover Bahrain) and the e-business award was won by Gulf Broadcast for the website Riffa Views, I Cool Plus for its project iTrack 21, and Card Company for its project Card Online.
The category of e-Inclusion was won by both who wants Arabia for its project Gulf Connection, and jobs4bahrainis, and website Her Secrets. The category of electronic banking services was won by the website of the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, the iPhones and Blackberry services of Kuwait Finance House and the website of the Bahrain Islamic Bank.
Following that Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, presented the award for Arab eContent 2011, and the category of e-government won a gate geospatial of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), and the government (Qatar), and the gateway of Industry of Tunisia (Tunisia).The category of e-health and the environment was both won by the e-health guides (UAE), and the website of the Ministry of Health (Bahrain) and Your care from your Home (Kuwait).
In the category of e-learning was won by Shelves (UAE), the educational portal (Arab Republic of Syria), and Video school (Qatar), and the category of electronic entertainment and games was won by Mirage (Republic of Lebanon), and Play (Arab Republic of Egypt), and the Activities of Kuwait (Kuwait). The category of electronic culture and heritage was won the Description of Egypt: The Natural History (Arab Republic of Egypt), and the Mosaic of Bahrain (Bahrain).
For the e-science and technology category Discover Bahrain, Bahrain, won the award, the Center for Nanoscope Science Kuwait, and the category of e-business and trade project was won by Tenders, Lebanon, Bahrain Islamic Bank, and service Zajil e-Serivce and Smart Hosted, and the category of e-containment was won by the Real Display (Oman), and the Will from Arab Republic of Egypt.
