Bahrain Human Rights Society (BHRS)’s Eye on Election centre praised the decision to hold the by-elections’ first round next September 24 and the second round on October 1, asserting that the move is a living proof of the kingdom’s adherence to popular participation in the decision-making process and assertion that the democratic process will be sustained.
The centre said that it will be ready to monitor the elections inside and outside the kingdom, affirming that last October’s Parliamentary and Municipal elections were successful and democratic, which reflected the kingdom’s popular transparent democratic practices anchored by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s pioneering Reform Project.
It also wished the kingdom more progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of HM King Hamad.
The centre also said that it will launch Facebook and twitter pages in order to cover the anticipated elections.
