Social Development Minister and Acting Health Minister Dr Fatima bint Mohammed Al-Balooshi visited the injured policemen at the BDF, who had been run over while on duty in Nuwaidrat area, termed such acts against the norms of the human rights.
The minister was briefed on health condition and positive response to medical treatment. Dr Al-Balooshi was welcomed on arrival by BDF Royal Medical Services Commander Brigadier Professor Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al-Khalifa. She deplored the recurrence of such accidents, describing them as contravening international human rights conventions and humanitarian values.
“Bahrain will take all necessary measures to deter anyone intent on committing such terror acts”, she said. She described the terror act which targeted the injured policemen while on duty as flouting the law and violating social security and civic peace. She stressed the need to confront such criminal acts strictly and firmly. Dr Al-Balooshi paid tribute to the security forces, lauding their sacrifices and dedicated efforts round the clock to protect national security and achievements. Present were Undersecretary Hanan Mohammed Kamal, Ambassador Said Al-Faihani from the Foreign Ministry and public and international relations Jameela Abdulla Al-Kooheji.
