The Bahrain International eGovernment Forum 2011 opens on Monday for the fourth time at Isa Cultural Center Juffair.
The event is being held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology.
This forum is organized by the eGovernment Authority in cooperation with Bahrain’s Engineers Society, Bahrain Internet Society and Project Management Institute (Bahrain Branch).
The yearly forum is expected to witness significant participation of local, regional and global public sector senior officials, experts, and decision makers in the field of Information and Communication Technology.
The official ceremony of the Bahrain International eGovernment Forum will include announcing the winners of the eGovernment Excellence Award 2011, where His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa will be honoring them
“The forum is a recurrent opportunity and a meeting platform for networking for eGovernment and ICT specialists” he added confirming that the presence of key global speakers and leaders of the sector will enrich the culture of eGovernment, provides a comprehensive look at the latest developments in technologies making the forum the right place to strengthen commercial relationships,” A.Majeed Al Qassab, the Head of the Organizing Committee of the Bahrain International eGovernment Forum said.
“The concurrent Bahrain IT Expo 2011 is also a great opportunity for technology vendors and research centers to showcase their products and services in the field of ICT; it also opens a window for the public to catch up with the latest technologies”, he added.
The ceremony is expected to attract more than 800 people from Bahrain and overseas including elite of experts and specialists and researchers in the field of eGovernment at the regional and international levels as well as representatives of ICT companies, specialized technology societies, and local and foreign media representatives.
