Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, who took part in the second meeting of the International Contact Group on Libya being held in the Italian Capital, Rome, voiced his concerns over the ongoing crisis in Libya.
He underlined the need to exert more efforts to protect the Libyan civilians hailing the roadmap announced by the Libyan Interim Council concerning full representation of the Libyan cities.
He also voiced Bahrain’s keenness to end the worsening humanitarian conditions in Libya, end suffering of the Libyan people and ensure a permanent solution to the crisis.
Shaikh Khalid underscored Bahrain’s international commitment regarding Afghanistan, fighting piracy and supporting the Libyan people to achieve freedom.
