The Advisor of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Shaikh Hosam bin Isa Al Khalifa announced that Bahrain Centre for Excellence was currently preparing an “e-system” to manage and follow-up the implementation of government programmes.
The system would be in accordance with performance indicators within the given time duration. This move comes as part of activating the directives of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa related to establishing an “e-system” to measure the speed of achieving government services and indicating the flaws in them.
Shaikh Hosam in a statement today said that this project was in cooperation with the Central Informatics Organisation (CIO) and Ministry of Finance.
He also indicated that it translated HRH the Prime Minister’s keenness on further elevating government services in various bodies and sectors. Shaikh Hosam said that the project came within the philosophy of the centre aimed towards enhancing the performance of government establishments through the linkage of information and data in relation to enabling their decision making process.
Moreover, he added that the system had a number of characteristics the most important of which was the ability to manage both categorized and non-categorized data; analyze it and generate a link. Shaikh Hosam also highlighted the fact that the system was user friendly and comprehensive. He said that the system would monitor indicators related to Bahrain’s ranking in international reports in addition to improving information on scientific and realistic basis.
Shaikh Hosam affirmed the system would also include the calculation of investment revenue related to the activities and functions of the country through the speedy extraction and analysis of routine reports. These performance reports would also be compared to that of other establishment in the GCC.
