His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander held this evening a meeting with the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister David Cameron at 10 Downing Street in London as part of his visit to Britain.
The meeting discussed the continually developing relations between the two countries based on a long history of joint political, economic and social partnership, in addition to various other fields. His Royal Highness also reviewed with the British Premier the latest developments in the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirming that Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty the King adopts reform as a path and comprehensive dialogue as an approach towards achieving the best interests of the Bahraini people fulfilling with that their future aspirations. His Royal Highness also emphasized that Bahrain was completely committed to all international civil and human rights conventions.
HRH Prince Salman said that he had complete trust that the Kingdom of Bahrain will come out of this strong and firmer, continuing to move forward with confident steps for the best interests of all. Meanwhile, on a different note, HRH reviewed with Cameron various other issues in the region and means of reinforcing stability and development, in addition to achieving peace that fulfills the aspirations of the people. They also discussed means of sustaining security and supporting regional and international cooperation towards a better future. Present at the meeting was the Minster of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa.
