His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa lauded USA’s keen interest to develop bilateral relations of cooperation with Bahrain, reiterating the Kingdom’s interest in promoting security, peace and stability across the region and resolve to extend bridges of cooperation with the International Community to achieve such a globally-agreed upon goal.
This came as HRH Premier received at his court the US Secretary of State Deputy James Steinburg and Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey D. Feltman and reviewed with them the latest regional and global developments, as well as issues of mutual concern.
During the meeting, HRH Premier asserted that the reform march in the kingdom will continue un-wavered as “we want to achieve to ensure our people’s welfare”.
“We will never go back on reform spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and massively approved by the Bahraini citizens,” he said, noting that the accelerated pace of the globally-acclaimed reforms of HM King Hamad’s will be maintained.
HRH Premier also pointed out that abiding by the law and order are essential pre-requisites for the progress and prosperity, adding that the kingdom is committed to transparency and human rights respect.
“We are proud of our constitutional institutions and the crucial national role play in backing the reform march through the parliament, the house of the people,” HRH Premier said, vowing that the openness and freedom atmospheres anchored by HM King Hamad’s Reform Project will be maintained and even consolidated further so as to ensure that the national march is on the right track.
The US Envoys expressed their country’s appreciation of the constructive initiatives of the kingdom and its resolve to set up an open and developed society.
