Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa on Wednesday visited the injured policemen who had been run over by a saboteur while on duty in Nuwaidrat.
He conveyed to them greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander and wishes of quick recovery.
Lt. General Shaikh Rashid was assured about the injured policemen’s safety and the medical treatment they are undergoing.
He deplored the criminal acts which are committed as Bahrain is recovering from the repercussions of the recent unrest. “These criminal acts do not only break the law but they also risk to fuel sectarianism and drive wedges between citizens”, he said.
He pledged to confront all attempts to subvert social security and civic peace as Bahrain is coming through a crucial period. He also announced that the perpetrators of these criminal acts would be would be put on trial to be deterred from threatening people’s lives or social security and stability.
