Labour Minister Jamil Humaidan said that the Government would look into all legal aspects of the sacking of employees as result of absenteeism or taking part in the illegal activities.
The Minister, who is heading the probe committee, reiterated that the body would take into consideration all workers’ legal warranties during investigation.
He was speaking as he chaired the first meeting of the committee which was ordered to be set up by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
“Setting up this committee reflects the leadership’s keenness to adhere to the principles of transparency and protection of workers’ rights according to the kingdom’s laws and regulations,” he said.
He also added that specialized legal teams, set up by the Labour Ministry recently, will carefully study complaints and treat dismissed workers justly so as to ensure legal procedures have been taken by employers apart from any arbitrary decision.
