The Ana Al Bahrain (I Am Bahrain) campaign backed by the Supreme Council for Women’s (SCW) Youth Committee held its first social event at Seef Mall.
“We launched this campaign to bring together all citizens to love Bahrain. It was important for everyone to return to the good old days and move away from the unrest in the past months,” said committee head Sanaa Ali Hussain.
Buoyed by the success and response of the national initiative, Sanaa said they were planning to cover their campaign across the country with wide range of activities that aims to promote understanding between different communities.
“Our team of young volunteers is now working on Ana Agdar (I Can) and Ana Ma’akum (I’m with you).”
The two campaigns are under the umbrella of the main campaign that will use social networking media and TV shows.
In the Ana Agdar campaign organizers intend to host several programs and TV shows targeting the youth of the country and to instill patriotic feeling among them.
The second, Ana Ma’akum will feature activities to enhance communication between youngsters and use of social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and blackberry messages.
“We all love Bahrain, which has always been a beautiful country for citizens and expatriates. This campaign aims to cover every man, woman and child in the country to make them feel good about the Kingdom and live in harmony,” said Sanaa.
Organizers of the campaign have also launched their official website www.scwshabab.gov.bh that features latest news, events and suggestions for visitors.
